Our Story
At Wagner Denture Group, our story is rooted in Dr. Stephen Wagner’s passion for restoring not only smiles but also confidence. With nearly five decades of experience, he has dedicated his career to advancing the art and science of prosthodontics, bringing together clinical excellence and compassionate care. After earning his dental degree from the University of Southern California and completing advanced prosthodontic training at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas, Dr. Wagner established his private practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he continues to serve patients with dedication and innovation.
Beyond the practice, Dr. Wagner is a board-certified prosthodontist and an active leader in national dental organizations. His expertise is widely recognized through awards, contributions to publications, and features in leading media outlets. Most importantly, his commitment has changed the lives of countless patients who trust him to deliver both exceptional care and lasting results.

Support Team
Dr. Stephen Wagner (DDS FACP)
Dr. Stephen Wagner is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP), and the American Academy of Prosthodontics (AAMP). He has been in his private practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1978. He received his dental degree from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, his prosthodontics specialty from the Veterans’ Administration at Wadsworth VA in Los Angeles, and his maxillofacial prosthodontics training from MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas. As the editor of the ACP Board Preparation exam, he was entrusted to compile every conceivable question the applicants might encounter on their test.
He was presented with the American College of Prosthodontists’ Private Practitioner of the Year Award. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for both the ACP and AAMP.
Dr. Wagner practices a subspecialty of maxillofacial prosthodontics in which he restores the chewing and speaking functions to patients who have had severe trauma to their mouths or palates from cancer surgeries, congenital issues, or gunshot accidents.
Caryn O. Wagner (Business Executive)
Caryn Wagner is wife of Dr. Stephen Wagner. She joined her husband in 2002 to take the job of running all office affairs as well as handling the medical authorizations. When a patient who has suffered trauma, a birth defect, or cancer is in need of a facial or intra-oral prosthesis, she is the one who will do her best to convince their insurance company to cover the expenses for treatment.
Caryn actively listens to the concerns of our patients and extends her concern and effort with the same intensity that she would apply to one of her own family members. As far as she is concerned, once you have come to our office for care, you are family. You can trust her to fight for your benefits, convince medical directors of your valid needs, and do these things with haste. She doesn’t enjoy watching anyone suffer or go without any of the dignities that we usually take for granted.

Laura

Laura, originally from Louisiana, may be the biggest Saints fan you’ll ever meet — with their logo on everything from socks to garden gnomes. A front desk whiz with years of dental experience, she’s been with us since 2011, bringing laughter, energy, and a love for music that keeps the office upbeat.
Samuel
(On-site Laboratory Technician)
Samuel has been with our office since 2001, trained by Dr. Wagner in the art of creating dentures. With his artistic background and sharp eye for detail, he crafts beautiful results. Outside of work, he and his wife are raising a wonderfully charming son who’s adored by everyone at the office.
Amanda
(Lead Dental Assistant)
Amanda, one of our dental assistants since 2011, is known for her warmth, laughter, and compassion. She supports our providers with skill, raises four children, and is a proud fan of the 49ers, Giants, and Warriors. Fluent in Spanish, she connects with everyone and brings joy to the office.
